“No more sleeping on a floor, crashing on a couch, or crowding four to a bed! A safe bed of your own brings a sense of pride, a feeling of security, and a good night’s sleep.”
The Bed Blitz is a community driven project sponsored by the WBRP Tool Library and Youth Build McLean County. The Bed Blitz program is a one-day event where volunteers come together to assemble bed frames for local children who are 4-18 years old in low income families. Through the Bed Blitz, local youth will receive a “bed set” that includes: twin bed frame, mattress, hand made quilt, pillow, sheets, teddy bear, laundry detergent and books!
Bed Blitz will take place on October 12, 2019, at YouthBuild McLean County 360 Wylie Dr. #305 Normal, IL 61761
Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2019 Bed Blitz. Individuals will be notified via phone after October 1st if they have been selected for a bed.

How you can help
To make this event a success, we will need the help of individuals and groups around the community to help in the following ways:
Donate to support the Bed Blitz
Your monetary donations will support bringing a bed set to a child in need. Each “bed set” includes a twin-size bed frame, mattress, a hand-made quilt, pillow, sheets, teddy bear, laundry detergent and books.
Volunteer at the Bed Blitz
There will be two shifts throughout the day and you can sign up to help build a bed (no construction experience required!) as an individual or sign up as a group!
Shift 1: 8:30-10:30am & Shift 2: 11:00-1pm
