Veggie Oasis

About

Because access to grocery stores with fresh produce is limited in West Bloomington, the Veggie Oasis program aims to bring fresh produce to the neighborhood to promote a healthier lifestyle amongst residents.

In partnership with Beacon of Hope, WBRP volunteers visit local groceries stores to gather fresh product, as well as food that is nearing the “best by” date, to give away to West Bloomington residents for free.

Volunteer and Donate

Veggie Oasis occurs every Saturday during the regular market season. Food becomes available at 12:30PM and is given away until it is all gone. Make sure to get there when we start because food goes fast.

We are thankful for our partnerships with McClean County Wellness Coalition to manage our volunteer system. If you want to volunteer, please use the volunteer form on the homepage.

Local gardeners and farmers who wish to donate produce to our give away tables should call our office at 309-829-1200 or send an email to westbloomington@gmail.com. We would be happy to accept your donation and we can provide a donation form for your tax records.
